Introducing CableMod PRO Series

Get PRO results with next-generation CableMod cables and extensions

(February 23, 2018) – Thanks to the undying support of an incredibly enthusiastic community, CableMod has become the go-to maker of premium sleeved cables and other modding accessories in just three short years. Thorough this time, we have been listening intently to community feedback on how to take our products to the next level. Today, CableMod is proud to announce the result of this feedback – the CableMod PRO Series. Featuring thicker wires, closed cable combs, and a totally revamped color scheme, the CableMod PRO Series represents the next-generation of CableMod cables engineered for discerning PC enthusiast.

The CableMod PRO Series begins with all-new extra-thick wires. Reducing the gap between each wire, the effect is a fuller, more robust look. To perfect the aesthetics on the motherboard side, each cable is also carefully constructed to completely eliminate any merged terminals, which means only a clean and tangle-free wires are visible for an unmatched professionally-sleeved look.

To tie everything together, all of the main cables also come with premium closed cable combs pre-installed, giving you professional results straight out of the box. To maintain the flexibility of the 4+4 pin EPS cable, we’ve even included all-new Hybrid Cable Combs that can be installed by the user to maintain a consistent appearance across every main cable.

CableMod PRO Series is launching initially with our immensely popular ModMesh™ sleeving, which delivers both vibrant color and superb durability. Each color combination has been community-driven to offer a fresh, new look that will work with a wide selection of hardware on the market.

The CableMod PRO Series will be offered in both replacement PSU cable kits, as well as extension kits. Both offerings will be available in the following colors:

Solid Colors Combo Colors
Black Black/Red
White Black/White
Red Black/Light Green
Blood Red Black/Blue

My PSU is HP 1500W Common Slot Platinum Plus Hot-Plug Power Supply Kit. Option Part#684532-B21. I am using this psu with an Asrock H110 motherboard for mining. I need an ATX 24 pin cable to be able to connect this psu to the motherboard directly. This type of PSU is not listed in your page. Can you please assist in getting two of these cables if possible. Also I am looking for a 8 pin female to dual 6+2 pci-e extension cables different lengths.

    Thanks…Sager

What is the difference between the Bridged 8+8 Pin PCIE set, and the regular 8+8 Pin PCIE set?

    • Author
      admin November 11, 2018 Reply

Hi Dane – a bridged PCI-e set uses one single cable comb that essentially fuses two cables together. A regular 8+8 would just be two separate 8-pin PCI-e cables. Hope that helps!

What is the difference between bridged 6+8 Pin PCIE and 8+6 Pin PCIE cables?

      admin November 25, 2018 Reply

      Hi Joshua,

The difference is the order of the 8-pin and 6-pin cables from left to right. A bridged 6+8 PCI-e cable as the 6-pin on the left and the 8-pin on the right – vice versa for 8+6 pin. You can see the pictures of the cables during the color configuration step to see how they would look. Choose the one that matches the connector order on your video card. Hope that helps!

Is there a reason I can only choose aluminium cable combs for the bridged pcie pro cables? The choice for plastic isn’t available like it is for other cables.

Hi Matt – we currently only offer aluminum comb options for our bridged PCi-e PRO cables. This is why plastic is not an option on the Configurator. Sorry about that!

Hi Ryan! For our PRO kits, you’ll get cable combs installed on the ATX 24 pin, EPS, and PCI-e cables. There are no combs on the SATA or Molex power cables. Hope that clears things up!
